Al-Fath

Let's take a text where the hand came mentioned.

Take in Surah Al-Fath.

Chapter 48 verse 10.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ اللَّهَ يَدُوا اللَّهِ فَوْقَ أَيْدِيهِمْ Verily those who give bay'ah, pledge to you, they are giving pledge to Allah.

Welcome to day 343 of Quran in a year plus, where we learn to look at the world and live life according to the lens of the Quran.

Today, we're going to be looking at verses 24 to 29 of Surah Al-Fath.

A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim.

Wa huwalladhi kaffa aydiyahum 'ankum wa aydiyakum 'an-hum bibatni makkata min ba'di an athfarakum 'alayhim wa kanallahu bima ta'maluna basira.

Through them, Allah enrages the disbelievers when they see the strength, unity, and completeness of the believers.

Allah has promised those among the companions who believe in Him and perform righteous deeds forgiveness for their sins, so He will not hold them accountable for those sins, and a tremendous reward from Him, Paradise.

As we reflect over today's verses and come to the end of Surah Al-Fath, we learn many lessons from this surah.

From them is learning to trust Allah when we cannot see what He sees.

Today, we're going to be looking at verses thirteen to twenty-three of Surah Al-Fath.

A'oożu billahi mina sh-shaytaani l-rajiim.

Wa man lam yu'min billahi wa rasoolihi fa inna a'tadanaa lilkaafireena sa'eeraa.

Welcome to day 341 of Qur'an in a year plus, where we learn to look at the world and live life according to the lens of the Qur'an.

Today we're going to be looking at verses 1 to 12 of Surah Al-Fath.

Surah Al-Fath is a madani surah, and from the objectives of the surah is giving the Prophet ﷺ and the believers glad tidings of victory and empowerment.

Indeed, we have granted you, O Messenger, a clear victory through the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah.

لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا

Shaytan made this assumption appealing in your hearts, and you held an evil assumption about your Lord, thinking that he will not support his Prophet.

And you became a people ruined because of the evil assumption you held about Allah, and because you remained behind instead of accompanying his Messenger ﷺ.

As we reflect over today's verses, Surah Al-Fath takes us back to one of the most emotionally difficult moments in the life of the Prophet and his companions, the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah.

And so, three important figures joined the ranks of Islam on the same day in front of Rasulullah .

Remember what Allah said in Surah Al-Fath? Allah knew what you did not know.

The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah had lowered the weapons of hatred against Islam and had broken down the walls in people's hearts.

Our Prophet had said, The Mushrikun have accepted that you may go to Mecca and take care of your needs, and that you will be safe while coming and going.

If you obey, Allah will grant you a good reward.

But if you turn away as you turned away before, He will punish you with a painful punishment from Surah Al-Fath.

Allah also warned the children of Israel that those who disbelieve would stray from the soundest path.

He condemned them for their bad deeds and breaking of covenants, just as he condemned the Christians who came after them for their divisions.

Nabi ﷺ saw a dream.

Allah has made mention with regard to it in Surah Al-Fatah.

لَقَدْ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ رَسُولَهُ رُؤْيَا بِالْحَقِّ لَتَدْخُلُنَّ الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامُ You are entering Masjid al-Haram.

So Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam related it to the Sahaba.
