Political Cartoonist A F Branco Joins Us

One big thing that is obviously in the news is A.I., How does AI affect your business? Because now anybody could do a cartoon, right?

Absolutely.

And they are.

They're doing them.

What they're doing is they're putting the information and AI just spits it out.

And so, you know, it takes me three to four hours sometimes to do a cartoon.

It takes AI a few minutes.

And it hasn't affected me as far as my situation at all that I know of.

But where it is affecting people is it's affecting illustrators and photographers, I think.

Illustrators, I mean, you had to have an illustrator put together something like what you're seeing on AI.

And fortunately for me, for the time being, I'm... established enough to where it hasn't affected i still have the same clients i still do the same thing and it hasn't uh affected me financially or any of those ways in the future it could um i think it has affected a lot of artists unfortunately but you know um it's kind of like you know you had the horse and buggy days and then the automobile came and what happened you know uh

yeah

so the people that made horse and buggies or buggies for horses at that time slowly phased out and it's unfortunate but what are you gonna do

it's like being a candle maker when uh electricity was coming in

there you go

yeah uh greg wants to know do you have any measurement about the number of outlets that publish your cartoons in a month

You know, I don't.

There's a few hundred, I think, newspapers, websites.

And then people will just purchase the rights to a cartoon to put with a story.

I'm really not sure how that works.

They just, you know, I'm not sure.

I know I get a printout, and I don't have it with me, but I get a printout of the different newspapers and different websites that use my stuff.

But that's about it.

And to tell you who they are right off the top of my head, I couldn't do that.

yeah okay uh and by the way don't forget please thumbs up people please again i don't ask you for money i just ask you to hit the thumbs up button that's really not a big ask i think i think that that you can do that so please do that and also if you've not done so please subscribe that would be very helpful do appreciate that has a publication ever asked you to do a cartoon about something and you just said no
