Let's continue with our headline brief this morning with a pivot now towards domestic news, mostly political.

First up, we've got some updates about America's Muslims and Marxists.

We start with the latest on that Democrat Marxist and Islamist out in Michigan, the Senate candidate, Mr. Abdul El-Sayed.

Fox News is reporting that Muslim candidate greeted fans on Friday at a rally, and he declared that he is in favor of sex change operations and surgeries on kids who can't consent but have that mental illness of gender dysphoria, often called transgender.

Marine Le Pen recently announced that she plans to fine women for wearing the Islamic veil in public if she ever comes to power.

The party claims that the ban would protect and liberate women from Islamist ideology, but critics argue that such a measure would actually financially penalize the women concerned, restrict their freedom and risk isolating them socially.

In this case, Marine Le Pen's party pretends to take up the defense of women only in order to identify a common enemy, Islam, and to justify discriminatory policies.

This rhetoric has been theorized by U.S. researcher Sarah Farris under the term FEMO nationalism.

Was this a clash of civilizations? It was, and it still is.

Not between Muslims and Christians, no reasonable person was saying that, but radical Islamism versus Western liberalism? Yes, that's a real thing.

Fighting people who hate freedom of religion and hate homosexuals and hate the idea of women as equal and free humans.

How did liberals wind up on their side? And many did.
