Well, Peter, we are continuing on a bit of a series as we, uh, look to understand the difference between the worlds, a sci-fi episode [laughs]

[laughs]

But just, but just the, the earthly world, right, and, and, and the Kingdom of God world-

Yes

... right? For lack of a better term.

Um, bring us up to speed on what we talked about the last two weeks.

Well, thank you for, uh, joining us yet again.

I, I love the conversation because I think what it slowly starts revealing to us is, um, how does God work in the history of salvation, and then therefore, uh, as we look at that complicated roadmap of God's work, therefore how does God work in our lives, in our community, in, uh, in, um, our church? And so we, we kind of look through two journeys, right? The journey of Moses and then the journey of Abraham.

And we said, okay, what can we learn about it, right? Is, uh, first we, we talk, uh, about the fact that, um, God sometimes is in the journey, not in destination, and that's clearly a story from, uh, Moses who never arrived-

Yeah

... uh, to the chosen land.

And then of course for Abraham is, um, this whole idea, the posture of our waiting and expecting God's faithfulness to be true versus trying to fix situation of our own strength, uh, rather than God's own strength.

And then kindness of God, like how can God still use even our own mistakes and missteps, and yet, uh, faithfully accompany us.

Amazing.

Um, and so we, we looked at the story of Moses.

We looked at the story of Abraham.

Today we're fast-forwarding-

Whoa

... a couple of thousand years.

Yeah, just a few thousand years.

[laughs]

I mean, well, not a big deal.

Not a big deal.

Uh, to an era, uh, that people know as the, uh, beginning of the modern era, right?

Yes.
