What happens when a generation has never been more connected, but is longing to be truly known? In this episode of the Magnified Ministries Podcast, Fr. Peter Wojcik and Marco Oropeza continue…
Peter WojcikHost
and today we'll talk about young adults being connected but not known and this need spiritual need for connection deeper connection and relationship what do you think marco i
mean i think we talked about this in the last episode right
Well...
mean, I think you know a lot as well, right? In terms of how you use it and you see the way it's impacting people,
right? I see how organizations are...
drastically trying to make something happen with it and they're doing some things here and there and people are having productivity but the things that these tools promised of complete transformations ain't happening because this isn't a technology problem it's a people problem And I think what everybody's trying to do is make technology solve problems that are people problems.
And I was talking to one of my clients and she said something that I thought was really insightful.
but it's also a great exposure.
And what she meant by that is AI is really not something you should just throw onto like how you work today, right? Because if you do, it kind of misses the point.
And what she was saying is that AI will illuminate really good thinking, really good data, really good processes, really good teams that know how to work together.
It will make that team better.
It will actually augment.
But what it can also do is expose really bad data, really bad systems, really bad processes, really bad people that don't know how to make decisions or think.
And so for me, I was like, oh, that's so interesting.
When somebody uses AI that has poor judgment or poor thinking, it's only going to make them look worse.
because they're gonna trust the thing the model spit out, as opposed to someone who has good judgment, like you or myself, allegedly, that you would get something and be like, well, that doesn't make any sense.
Where in the world did you pull that from? And then you would adjust it and modify, right? So I thought that was an interesting thing that she was sharing is, And that's why I'm passionate about it, because I really do feel this deep conviction.
Right.
And maybe I'm just drinking that Kool-Aid in some ways that I do think that as as a man of faith in the business world, it is my duty, my responsibility to not take a stand, but to bring forth the Catholic perspective into the workplace.
