There may be a s- a some decrease in the, the amount of overflights, uh, to Russia by Asian carriers that may still be using the polar routes.

There may be some reroutes, though, where instead of flying from the Gulf States up through the Caucus Region and, and Kazakhstan, and then, uh, from, uh, east to west in Russia, that more airlines go through Eastern Europe and then up through the Baltic Sea a- and that corridor, though it's a longer route.

I think what's more likely is you'll see airlines start to limit the number of flights that they have potentially, rather than a blanket cancellation.

They would probably be reviewing their flights at night, because again, that still is where most of the activity's happening, so reducing their risk profile and exposure by limiting flights to certain time periods during the day.

It didn't take long for the dramatic developments in the Russian capital, renamed Petrograd during the Great War, to reach Finland.

In the evening of Friday, March 16th, the sailors in the Baltic Sea Fleet who were stationed in Finland mutinied and turned on their own officers.

Dozens of these officers were murdered, often in the open street.

Many of the inhabitants of Helsinki who witnessed the eruption of this violence were shocked by it.

Berlin hoped that aiding the white side would help them build a power base in Finland from which they'd be able to attack Russia.

From the Finnish border, the Germans only had a short march across the Karelian Isthmus to attack the Russian capital.

After the war, the Germans also hoped that Finland would become an ally to Germany, increasing German influence in the Baltic Sea.

On November 27th, a little more than a week after the end of the general strike, a new senate was formed.

He won brilliant victories over the Hospodar of Wallachia and forced him to surrender considerable parts of his territory.

His conquests in Livonia on the Baltic Sea were far more valuable.

And there are a lot of lessons we can learn from what NATO is doing in the Baltic Sea in order to apply them also in the Black Sea.

It has to be the same deterrence across the whole continuum, but the operational issues are different.

Black Sea is different from the Baltic Sea.

Conditions are different in the Black Sea that are in the Baltic Sea.

Unfortunately, at this moment, the moment we talk, Black Sea is part of the joint operation area of the Russians in attacking Ukraine.

Now, and I had to put the story together.

What happened? Why was he shot down? What was this prison camp like? How did he get out of this prison camp and end up in France? He was in a prison camp clear up in the Baltic, Stalag Luft 1 on the Baltic, way up on the Baltic Sea.

There were no allied armies anywhere near him.

This was Russian territory.

So part of the AFD's manifesto is actually to reopen the Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea so that Germany can once again become dependent on Russian gas.
