Selina AliHostWell, it's All Things Go week here, and so for the last two days I have lived at the All Things Go Festival up at Merriweather, and we had some really spectacular performances.
... that Rebecca Black, was on stage yesterday and crushed it, had an incredible set.
She has turned what is a meme into a whole career, and I am so proud of her, 'cause she just broke through.
Uh, of course, one of my favorite bands of all time, The Beaches, was there yesterday, and their set at the Chrysalis stage was amazing.
I also had, um, one of those, one of the most frustrating experiences of my IT career.
I spent six hours trying to get, uh, one LED to turn on, and that was because we have a fiber network at Merriweather that stretches across the property so that we can plug in anywhere and augment our network.
We had, um, you know, uh, one of our, uh, hubs down at the, the Chrysalis, one of our switches there, that I plugged into and extended it three times to get up to the top of front of house.
Uh, as it turns out, one of the barrel connectors that lines up the fiber so that they are touching, uh, was not perfectly aligned.
And so, um, uh, because the barrel connector itself was slightly bent, um, it was the last thing that we checked, 'cause I was like, "Everything else is checking out.
We should be seeing connection all the way through." Um, but it took us five hours to figure that out.
Um, and, uh, later today is Charlie's 13th birthday party, 'cause I suddenly have a teenager.
