Dynamic library

So, so Patrick recently gave a talk at DEF CON, um, on detecting or maybe, maybe not just detecting, maybe a, a little bit of hacking of dynamic libraries or dylibs.

So before we go down the rabbit hole, do you wanna walk us through exactly what a dynamic library is on macOS?

Yeah, great question, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to dive into this, 'cause it was an interesting topic, interesting research, and kind of one of the takeaways is, [lips smack] uh, you know, we were giving Apple a lot of kudos.

Um, but a lot of times their security implementations and mitigations are great, but sometimes there are some gaps in them that are only revealed, I think, when security researchers really dive in.

Um, and so, you know, I think that's an interesting thing for, for us to remember.
