parting words for our lucky girl gardeners? Do you want to run through what you did in your garden this weekend? Well, I need you to see it first.

I'll talk about it.

So this year we have a plan to get all of our vegetables out of the ground because I feel like I can better control pests.

and manage things in the world when I am in full and complete control of the vegetables being above ground.

So we have one half of our garden is turning into veg and perennials, and one half of our garden will remain cut flowers.

The half of our garden that we're turning into veg was full grass.

It was a lawn, like literally a lawn.

So we, with Ellis's coaching, buzzed down, took the lawnmower mat, we cut it as short as we possibly could.

We were basically scalping the lawn at one point.

Then we laid out builder's paper.

We found it in the paint section at Home Depot.

We lay it out and then we mulched six inches on top of it.

We did a lot of mulch.
