So a few weeks ago, I got the chance, I've referenced this on this podcast before, but I got a chance to speak at this conference about podcasting.

And it was all about, and I'm going to tie this into the Mavericks here, so go with me here.

And it was all about how to launch a podcast, how to start a podcast, and how to grow a podcast.

That's something that Nick and I have obviously been doing this on this show for the last 10 years.

And one of the top questions that even I got at this conference was about defining success.

When you go to start a podcast, really when you start anything, but podcasting specifically, some of you listening might have your own podcast or you've been thinking about starting a podcast.

But before you start anything with podcasting, You have to define your whys and your wins.

And I parked on that for a lot of my like small talk there at the conference of like, before you do anything, you gotta define your whys and your wins because you can get all into podcasting and then you can be a month in and you're like, dude, this pod isn't growing hardly at all.

And you're so bummed, but you never define what success looked like for the show.

I can do a podcast in the church world and revenue and growing it to be the biggest thing possible isn't the definition of success, isn't the definition of a win.

In this world, in the Mavericks world, revenue is the definition, one of the definitions of what a win looks like for our show.

Trust me, my wife would not let me do a daily podcast for 10 years every night if the revenue did not make it worth it.

And I want to tie that into the Mavericks season because I think it's so important.

We're one game into the regular season to just zoom out for a second and say just real quick.

Let's look at the wise and the winds and specifically what the winds are for this season because we've done shows on this for the past weeks for the past months and this this whole offseason and we have in multiple episodes.

define like hey this is something i'm looking for this is something i want this season this is a what would be a win for me this season here are three things that i found from past episodes from past notes that i've had get kyrie irving playing great basketball this year that's a win that i've had on a previous episode a win for this season for me is i want as much more as johnson jr and cooper flag minutes as possible Because you have Cooper Flagg, you have Morris Johnson Jr., you have a top 10 pick.
