Isaac Harris

Joining me, as always, my co-host, the Conference Crooner, the One More Thinking.

What you got for me, Isaac Harris?

Did have a conference today.

Did a little speaking about podcasting, so talked to-

The Pelicans did their own weird starting thing where they basically brought their starters off the bench and started their be- It was a very strange thing.

But the Mavs employed Naji Marshall as the point guard, and this is something Isaac and I have talked about on this show for the entire off-season, basically.

We're like, "Man, are they gonna go get another guard? Are they gonna bring somebody else in to the Mavericks to handle the ball, to do things and all that?" And we were just like, "Well, Naji Marshall can do some of those things, so maybe they'll just employ him as a backup point guard." And now after three preseason games, I can confidently say they do look at Naji Marshall as a point guard.

He was driving, he was dishing, he was ki- you know, bringing the ball up in transition.

Zachary Shea, another shaky showing, another game where you're like, have more questions than answers at the end of a game.

He finished with, what, six points, missed all seven of the threes that he took, three of 11 from the field.

And, uh, yeah, just, uh, how long will we wait? 'Cause Isaac and I had that argument the other day about Risa Shea, and Isaac's like, "Oh, you gotta give him time." And we're talking about two preseason games, and I was like, all right, now it's three preseason games.

Yes, they didn't have, like, Cooper Flagg and, and Kyrie.

My name is Nick Engelstad.

I'm joined by the One More Thing king himself, Isaac Harris.

Today, we're gonna answer your questions on our text line.

What's the priorities for the Dallas Mavericks this season? What if the Mavs start really hot, like what would Masai Ujiri be forced to do? And then we'll talk about the Cooper Flagg All-NBA, I guess we're getting into.

Seven quarters in? Nervous as in, hey, you're just out? Like, trade him now?

No, obviously not, Isaac Harris.

[laughs] No, I-- He just does not look comfortable.

It still looks like everything's sped up for him.

2:56 left in the third quarter.

Still got Sergio, Max, Tarik, Dwight, Caleb Martin out there.

I'm here with the One More Thinking, Isaac Harris.

Isaac Harris, how many times last year did the Mavs not take 26 threes in a regular season game?

How many times did they not?
