Florida Gators Freshmen MISSING Through First Half of Season Under Jon Sumrall

Then we had one of the submissions talk about basically where the hell are the freshmen? Basically, that's what they said.

And, well, we haven't seen them.

But also, I don't think that was – Right.

We spoke a lot about it this this summer and this spring, too, of just I don't know how much you can really expect from the freshman this year.

I thought K.J. Ford would be someone that plays.

In fact, in the spring, I want to say that K.J. Ford was the only freshman that I said was going to play consistently this season.

For those who don't address your four star freshman.

Plays the Jack right now.

He's behind Jaden Woods, Kofi Asari, and then it's KJ Ford.

Part of that is explained by LJ McCray been playing some of that stand-up spot as well sporadically.

But also, you know, Jaden Woods plays basically like 75% of the snaps.

And so if Jaden Woods is playing 75% of the snaps, LJ is playing, let's just say like 5%.

Kofi Asari is going to play gets those 20 gets 20% there.

I don't even think that's entirely accurate number-wise, right? But that doesn't leave a lot of snaps for KJ Ford to play.

KJ Ford was on the field at certain points against Texas, played like four snaps or five snaps, something like that.

Played eight against South Carolina, nine against Missouri.

So he's started to play a couple snaps and get a little bit of playing time there, but still haven't seen much of him, which again, That's probably the one that I expected to see, right? Davian Gross, who is your top-ranked commit for the 2026 class, he's been banged up.

TJ Brona, your top-ranked defensive commit for the 2026 class, he's been banged up.

John Sermon mentioned him in the press conference.

Was it, I think, after the South Carolina game, he mentioned someone asked about corners at the presser, and he was just like, Well, what, like, who do you want out there? Right.

Because CJ Bruno has been dealing with injury.

Dijon Johnson's been dealing with injury.

Like, who do you want out there? And I don't think he said it, but you might as well have said Javari Flowers has been toast out there because he has been.

And so it's like, yeah, that's one of those things where you want to see more rotation or different corners out there, but you can't.

And CJ Bruno is a guy that people mentioned, but he said that he's been banged up.
