The NBA season kicks off the regular season tonight, Jim.

The Timberwolves don't play until tomorrow night.

And some good news for Jaden Daniels and the team and fans in that they extend him another season through the 28-29 season now.

He gets a contract.

Their core three, I think, are pretty obvious at this point, right? And Jaden McDaniels, and is it LaMelo Ball, I would think, be the third, or is it Rudy Gobert?

Well, the good thing is when you're asking that question, it means you have kind of four core players.

I mean, Lomelo is definitely a core player.

Rudy has been a core player.

I don't think he's fallen off enough that he would have lost that.

I mean, and listen, they've made a lot of changes since they got Rudy Gobert.

They have not gotten Rudy Gobert.

That tells you how important they think he is.

to their defense.

So I really think they kind of have four core players, which

you

look around the league and a lot of the good teams have three or four guys you can consider core players.

And I think this is a very logical deal for both sides.

It

rewards Jaden for the improvement he's shown.

It hints that they think he can be even better, and they might even be getting $40 million a year.

And it shows that he wants to be here.

He's not looking for a quick exit.

He appreciates how they've helped him develop, that they're opening up the offense a little bit for him.

It's a pretty good marriage.

Yeah, McDaniel's offensive game continues to get better.
