I am Lyndon Pryor, President and CEO of the Louisville Urban League and welcome back to the Power Shift podcast.

And as the election draws near, we want to be able to cover multiple issues as quickly and as timely as we can um and so there's some special stuff that we really wanted to talk about that's going on um and i'll talk about that in just a second but just as a reminder this is the powership podcast powership is the urban league's uh mobilization and messaging campaign to turn out people to vote again we don't have a registration problem in our community we have a turnout problem and so we need people to commit to showing up to vote and you can do that by pledging to vote with us using the qr code up there in the corner of your screen or the link that appears in the chat please please please pledge to vote and then share that with somebody else and get them to pledge to vote because the thing is is when we show up together we can and we will win And that means that we will change the trajectory of this city moving forward and into the future.
