I wanted to amplify your guest's statement that the students see this as a human rights issue.

I agree, and I think opportunity is best laid at the feet of those that want to succeed in And so my question really goes back, and maybe there's evidence that DACA students, now that we have a decade of DACA students, have performed well, that they are eager to succeed.

And I was curious if the panel or the guests might have any insight is do these students do well because they truly are here as opportunity is laid at their feet? And I'll take the answer off air.

Everything else is getting right.

So it's really interesting that it's not Black and white with immigration, we have DACA holders, for example, you know, people that were brought as children to the United States and the government decided to give them access to work permits if they meet certain criteria.

So we call them the dreamers, you know, and that is someone who does not have a route to a green card or permanent status.

They're just authorized to be here, authorized to work here, but there's no path forward.

Oh no, it's people who did what ICE said they should do and showed up to their court dates, we're gonna arrest them.

Oh, wait a minute, it's people who were here legally under TPS or DACA or whatever, and now their protections have been stripped away, and now suddenly they're, quote-unquote, "illegal" when they were legal literally, you know, by stroke of a pen a few months ago.

And oh, it's just a Brown person who is a US citizen, who happens to be Brown, who's been deported.

You cannot draw that line clearly.

And it just doesn't make any sense.

Democrat-dominated city council has overwhelmingly voted to allow non-citizen legal residents and DACA recipients to apply to become police officers.

No, I don't think it is in any way intended to make our city feel safer.

I mean, that's like, that's meat and potatoes right there.

I mean, what? What's wrong with people? And then finally, tell us you hate us in one vote or less.

The Danbury, Connecticut City Council just voted to allow the following groups to be police officers.

Non-citizens and DACA recipients.
