I know that most of us may not be able to connect so perfectly with what happened 2,000 years ago.

This morning as I was trying to understand the weight of all of this, I asked myself, John C., how would I understand? A pastor may stand here and tell you, try to remember what Jesus did.

We use words to help us understand, but the honest fact is this, it's not easy for us to understand what happened 2,000 years ago on that Thursday night and Friday morning.


So a person who did no sin, who had no sin, who knew no sin, was asked to die on our behalf.

You know why? Because the wages of sin is Romans 6.23 The wages of sin is death.
