Lax Class 400 - Challoner / Dawick

I tell you,

I hop in the car and I almost don't know what to do with myself.

It's just common practice for me to flip on AM650 and now I can't do that anymore.

So what I did do this past week is flip on Coach Skulls.

You finally put another podcast out there, Chelly, and it was a good one.

David Bremner, head coach of the Victoria Junior Shamrocks, came on the show and I really enjoyed that conversation and Like I said to you, Dave and I went to battle a bunch of times over our careers, and he's been around that Shamrock organization for a few years now.

They're going to host the Minto Cup next year.

You're talking about that 88 Minto Cup team and that roster, a couple of guys on the bench with him and Ziggy and Ham here.

So great conversation there with Bremner, and you got more in the pipeline coming this summer or what?

Well, we've

got to look up to

Mr. 400, right? But no, it's been a pretty laid-back summer.

I was coaching through May and June and then just wanted to be a fan this year and kind of take in Shamrock's games with my kid and my family and his friends.

So it's been a bit of a different shift and then got the inspiration to...

You and I are doing the Minto Cup, obviously, in August next month.

So I'm like, OK, it's time to do some homework and ramp up the podcast, marching towards the Minto.

So kind of keeping the Junior A loop for the next month as we... build towards that Minto and Bammers was great, man.

Like I had no idea.

Look at that 88 Minto roster with the Gates and the Peppers and Tom Marachek and Mike Simpson, another head coach in the National Lacrosse League and the WLA and so many on that list.

And then down that list is, oh, there was Dave Bremner.

But, like, he's kind of a quiet, humble dude.

Like, you don't realize he was there.

And then he's got the man cups with the shamrocks.

And he's another firefighter, just retired this summer.

So he's got that sort of, like, lacrosse firefighter pedigree that we know so well.
