Segment one, Kicking Tires Podcast.
We're covering free agency.
I know that seems like it was a lifetime ago because it feels like it because we've missed like 10 news cycles worth of stuff.
But the Red Wings had a... interesting free agency i think they did well like i'll be the i'll be the guy who's gonna go out there and speak highly of the team i actually really like what they did so they have victor arvidsson on a two-year deal for five million dollars to pick up the nil teresov to back up and they go out and trade for keegan colasar and they kind of wrapped up their day pretty short there these were eiserman signings he was still here at this point and i think there were three Pretty crafty moves, and I think even if you don't like Iserman, I think you're going to be happy with the three of these.
The first one, the most important one being Victor Arvidsson, right? So Detroit loses Patrick Kane, goes to Chicago for a huge bag.
So be it.
Like, there's a list of moments, how bad he was defensively, wasn't great at even strength, kind of depended on the brinket, so on and so forth.
Arvidsson is a clear upgrade on that.
For everything but the power play, I should say.
Victor Arvidsson is among the league's best offensive generators at 5-on-5.
The guy creates space for himself.
He gets loose like you wouldn't believe.
Super high effort.
Super intense forward.
Victor Arvidsson is a direct fix for that, and he plays either way.
So he's instantly one of your most flexible players.
If you want him on left wing one next to Larkin and Raymond, which we'll talk about if that's even a possibility.
If you want to put him on left wing two, which is my preference with Casper and Raymond's, I've done a couple of articles on why that line of work.
I'm sure I'll get into it as we go on.
