Michael Rasmussen

All right, Scott, we talked about the worst of themselves in segment one, kind of a mirror of the fact that the first or a little over half of that game, they did not play well at all, but then just took one break, right? The, there were the lines ended up being shuffled.

Lucas Raymond ended up playing with JT Comfort and Michael Rasmussen.

And all of a sudden they were able to score a goal, mostly because I feel like Lucas Raymond was carrying that line after it got shuffled, but the line shuffling did work to an extent and, Lucas Raymond carries the puck into the neutral zone.

I'm sorry, into the offensive zone behind the offensive zone net.

I think that he continues to deserve that.

But like, I mean, you mentioned like JT Comfort showing up to an extent in this game.

And like, we haven't even talked about like Michael Rasmussen.

I mean, he missed a wide open net for a shot at one point, but like had a really good game outside of that.

He's had a great offensive start to the year.

People aren't going to like this, but it doesn't score without Michael Rasmussen's screen.

It was a really good set screen by Michael Rasmussen.

They don't ask how, except for us, where we spend 30 minutes talking about how.

But they don't ask how.

Short Kings, man.

Like, again, I, you hate to relate everything back to him, but I've, how does Michael Rasmussen sit on the bench, not see this and go, imagine if I did that.

This funny because he does, but only after you slander him either on the podcast or on Twitter.

And then he goes out and uses his physicality down the low and for exactly two

The Red Wings went down 1-0.

Dalbert Dvorsky scored on the first shot of the game.

And then JT Comfer off of good work by Michael Rasmussen.

JT Comfer in front scores his first of the season.

I should have mentioned it earlier.

Garriock had it in the Ottawa Sun yesterday that the Sens are looking for a goal-scoring winger that can provide some offense, and they're looking at Tevo Taravainen, Andrew Kopp, and Michael Rasmussen.

So I was trying to edit it and say, like, also DeBrusk.

Did we lose? Uh-oh.

And these are those names.

Bruce Garriock mentions that names circulating the market include Blackhawks forward Tevo Taravainen, Red Wings forwards Andrew Kopp and Michael Rasmussen, along with Michael Acemont, who was recently assigned to the American Hockey League.

When you end a, these are the forwards available with a guy who's just been demoted to the AHL and was just on waivers.

probably not the strongest group.

He honestly, out of all the people in the bottom six that you would expect to throw hits...

You would think one of the taller dudes, Michael Rasmussen, actually, I can't even talk shit about Rasmussen

anymore.

He's been,

Justin Falk, if you get the sense that he doesn't want to resign, which I don't know why he would.

You know, the sooner you trade him, the better.

Andrew Kopp is a free agent at the end of the season, right? Like you go down the list, all these guys that you really could deal, get rid of Michael Rasmussen to make more space.

You know, Axel Sandin Pelika isn't playing.

And it kind of looked like the Red Wings would continue to run away with it.

Rasmussen tipped one in in the second period to make it 4-1.

And then between the second and third period, we got a little excitement with John Gibson leaving the game with an upper body injury.

He said something got in his eye and trying to clear it out made it even worse.

Victor Arvidsson, two assists as well.

Albert Johansson, one assist there.

Alex Dabrinkit one assist, Anton Johansen one assist, Emmitt Finney a goal, JT Comfer an assist, Michael Rasmussen a goal, and William Wallinder a goal.

So a good point night for a lot of Red Wings there, and a fun game by and large for Wings fans to watch.
