Season 11 Episode 5 Is It Really Empathy Though? Is It?

Yeah, and also like I'm bringing definitely, so good that experience has to come in.

I had an experience this week where I was doing a workshop in someone's community.

So I was, let's lay the groundwork here.

I was invited to do this workshop virtually and I was doing it free of charge

and people

need to sign up for the workshop.

So it's a benefit of being in this person's communities that they get to do that.

So people had signed up and of course not everybody arrived, but okay, reasonable number, fair enough.

And my workshop was all about altars, making an altar in your home and making it out of things you already have.

Or, you know, if you want to buy something, obviously you can, but it's not necessary.

And I told the story I've told before about the milk carton and how, you know, in Hinduism, your family God is represented by whatever you choose, so long as you pay devotion to it and you have it in a special area solely for that purpose.

So we moved, I won't go into that entire story again, but we moved from that into, you know, the seasons and the phases of the moon and how you can, Pick something to focus on.

Do you want to do a seasonal altar? Do you want to do it outside, inside? You know, we did a whole bunch of conversation about this and I made it as available and accessible to everyone as possible so that, you know, if you don't want to spend money or you don't have a lot of room, it's OK.

You can carry on and do that.

I thought this was going quite well.

And then suddenly there was definitely a disturbance in the room.

One woman was getting very upset about something that I had missed in the comments.

And I'm not going to read the entire thing, but basically someone had said that witches sacrifice babies on every full moon.

And they drink the blood.

And she thought this was sad and that she wouldn't have any witchcraft items in her home because it opened the doors to evil.

I was mind blown by what she said.

First of all, because basically the content of what she said, but also she said, it's sad that babies have been sacrificed on the full moon.

So if, if you've got 11 children, sacrifices 13 sacrifices a year going on um per which maybe i assume i

don't

know if it's a group per baby like she didn't give us details but well don't you think somebody'd notice or perhaps report that to the police or generally you know have a bigger response or a different response to this But the whole thing was an accusation from someone who didn't have to be there.
