The Prophets Speak with Rabbi Levin [ENCORE]

With me this morning to help us understand the very essence of the seven principles Haftarot is Rabbi Mark Howard Levin, founding rabbi of Congregation Beth Torah in Overland Park, Kansas.

Rabbi Levin is the author of Praying the Bible, Finding Personal Meaning in the Siddur, Ending Boredom and Making Each Prayer Experience Unique.

Rabbi Levin, as I indicated, is the founding rabbi of Temple Beth Torah.

He served that congregation from 1988 until his retirement in 2014.

And he accepted the title of founding rabbi in 2014, as well as the author of those books.

He's well known in the Jewish community as a scholar.

of the practice of Judaism and of the importance of the relationship between the Jewish people and the land of Israel.

He is also a well-rounded congregational rabbi.

urging his community, both in his retirement as well as in his active rabbinate, to find meaning in Jewish worship.

It's a great pleasure to again welcome back an old friend, but not an old man, Rabbi Mark Levin.

Rabbi Levin, welcome again to Jewish Faith and Jewish Facts.

Well, this is such a pleasure.

And thank you, thank you, thank you so much for that wonderful introduction.

I hope I deserve even half of it.

I'm sure that my listeners will find you deserving double it.
