Aww Schmidt has feelings for Cece! But stop fetishizing, bro. Joe Napoli makes a 180. The Rebbe, Moshiach, and a Flying Pig dressed as a woman walk into a bar... do what makes sense for you and your…
here we go Cece.
Oh yeah.
Cece is mortified that she might be pregnant.
And even though she doesn't tell Schmidt, he senses a change in the vibes and thinks maybe she wants to go on a date like a real girlfriend.
So he invites her to Italy on ice, but she is stressed and is like, no, take another girl.
And so then he has to pretend to have other girls so that he can save face.
Meanwhile, and that's a
funny scene too.
That's one of my favorites.
Meanwhile, Jess babysits Russell's daughter, Sarah, and Sarah develops a huge crush on Nick and is in complete despair because Nick's dating, quote, mature and interesting girls like Chloe, his latest college girl, who likes art and actually is probably more sophisticated than Nick is.
But anyway, Sarah locks herself in Nick's room in her adolescent despair.
And as Jess is trying to coax her out, Cece throws a tantrum of her own about needing her best friend's attention while she's in crisis over this possible pregnancy.
which Schmidt hears.
And he immediately puts his head to her stomach and starts obsessing over the little potential baby they made.
So everyone has dinner together after all this, including Chloe, the sophisticated college girl, and Sarah, the kid, who mentions that she rode the same school bus as Chloe last year because it turns out Chloe's only 18.
And Nick is very much like, nope, nope to that.
So Sarah's crush on Nick gets mentioned in front of him, and she gets mortified again, and she locks herself in Jess's room.
And Nick and Jess give her a sort of pep talk, so she'll come out.
But for some reason, when she does come out, she is wearing a second layer of clothing that is just entirely Jess's bras, like all of them all over her body.
The ex-wife, Russell's ex-wife, was actually arriving when Sarah was crying in the bedroom and Schmidt had stalled her a little bit, but not long enough because she comes up just in time to see Nick helping take those bras off of her child.
And also then Cece runs through shouting happily that she's not pregnant after all.
So, as Schmidt is saying goodbye to Cece outside, and she's like, oh, things can go back to normal now, I'm so relieved, he has to divert her attention away from the skywriting he hired, asking her to marry him.
Aww.
Aww.
And then there's also some really small Winston plot about needing to, like, give his boss a pep talk to manage the boss's insecurities about some other radio show host or something.
