In Italy, without a comma in-between a first name and a middle name \[e.g. Catrin, Austin], the two names become one, legally binding first name \[e.g. Catrin Austin]. Did you know that? Or how about…
[laughs] So I know that your name is Giulia, but could you tell me what your complete full name is?
[laughs] Yeah, my actually complete name is Giulia Lavinia Futura.
So this, this, those are, these are, this is, I mean, uh, my first name, so Giulia separate Lavinia and Futura.
So basically should have been Giulia, comma, Lavinia Futura, but they didn't.
So at the end of the story, I ended up having Giulia Lavinia Futura as a name.
I don't introduce myself like that because you d- don't even understand what, you know, like, my name usually is Giulia Lavinia.
Yeah, it, it's one name, and I think you can choose as, I mean, parents can give as many as they want.
Um, would be nice to have a comma at some point because it, it's getting very long.
So to translate that into [laughs] what maybe Americans would understand, because I was really confused when I first moved here, so when you say it's your first name, so those three separate names are part of your first name, but then you also have a l- a last name.
In America, we would probably consider the two in the middle your middle names.
