Bill & Ed's Excellent Adventure

Hello, everybody.

How are we this evening? Good.

Good.

Uh, [clears throat] I'd like to do something that's not normal.

Uh, I was able to celebrate mass with many of you today at four o'clock.

If it wouldn't offend you, I'd like to start with an Our Father and bring us together and pray for Ed and the folks that are elected and for those that are running.

So let us begin in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Thank you very much.

Wouldn't that be nice if we did that at every political event? [laughs] Thank you.

[clapping] Um, so my name's Glenn Bill, and, uh, I am a lifetime resident of District eighty-six.

I grew up in the Meridian Kessler neighborhood.

I went to public school eighty-four, uh, ended up at Christ the King when they shut down the junior high.

I attended Bishop Chatard High School.

Uh, went to Ball State University on a football scholarship.

I started a family very, very young, and, uh, immediately went into the working world.

Uh, I've had a history of people telling me not to do things.

I've had a his-history of people saying, "Glenn, there's no way you can do this.

There's no way you can pull this off." And, um, that started from an early age.

I was a young-- I was the youngest of five kids.

Uh, my mother was an IPS school teacher.
