Indiana vs Rutgers initial reaction notes from Alec Keezer on IndianaVOCFB. No. 6 Indiana beat Rutgers 47-15 on Oct. 3, 2026, at SHI Stadium in Piscataway for its 21st straight win and first road win…
The Indiana Hoosiers just rolled over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in my home state of New Jersey.
It saw a lot of things go right for the Indiana Hoosiers, including the offense that finally clicked for the first time this season.
Josh Hoover looked like he reached a new level i- in terms of timing with the receivers and timing within the offense, and command of the offense and ball placement and, yeah, all of the likes.
Like, um, when, when we talked about what this team could possibly be entering this season, this is what it looked like.
Oh, you wanna stack the box? We'll just spit it out to two of these all-world receivers, and we're just gonna get after you.
I, I know the competition wasn't exactly the best, and Rutgers was kinda dropping like flies in this game, which was insane, but any time you can go produce like that, it was the fourth, I think, or tied for third, uh, most yards in a game in the Curt Signetti era for the Hoosiers.
And I know there was some shaky things on defense at the back end of that football game, but like, listen, when there's that many plays and you're just gonna chuck the ball down the field with those dynamic receivers, or I guess KJ Duff, and like sometimes you're just gonna make plays.
I know those guys definitely wanted shutouts, but, um, listen, that's a, that's a really dominant performance.
It's just what, what more could you possibly want a- aside from obviously keeping Rutgers off the board? So, um, I'll just go through the keys to success that I had for the football game and then obviously, um, tomorrow morning I'll be live with Brad and Jamie, 10:00 AM Eastern, right here on Indiana at the "Voice of College Football." Um, but key number one was stop Antwan Raymond.
