absence this is the big ten huddle presented by fanduel and i want to show you why the mosley situation is more concerning than the first headline made it sound why the timing matters so much more than just usc fans actually want to maybe think about and know so i'm kind of got to be a truth teller here not so much like crap on usc but just to kind of go at what's actually happening here from the real reporting going on and not people just looking at this as one So here's kind of what we need to establish first.

Trent Mosley is out against Rutgers after suffering a knee injury during Louisiana.

He finished that game with two receiving touchdowns and he also ripped off an 86-yard punt return touchdown.

Pretty good.

And separately, the phrasing, it's not good, has been attached to the situation.

That does not mean that we know what the diagnosis is or how many games Mosley will miss.

We don't, but it does sound like it's more than just the Rutgers game.

It does mean that this looks different than from what USC simply was kind of resting on with the freshmen that they were just losing for Rutgers.

That will be the first test.

We played Northwestern and Rutgers before that.

Like, let's just be honest.

I still like UCLA's chances.

It's just because he doesn't have this NFL supporting cast around him.

Uh, after that, uh, Nebraska, Ohio state Rutgers, I would see, I would take them against Rutgers.

I would take them against Illinois.

They had a chance against a 9-win Wake Forest team from last year to win that game and kind of get off the snide, so you take some positives.

But again, last year, this was a team that had games against Rutgers, Minnesota, USC.

If you want to throw Michigan in there, they could have won some of those games and let them slip through their fingers at the end of the contest.

So you could look at it and say, wow, this team's made progress, or wow, this team let another one slip through its fingers.

And the fact that – I think you're – The more concerning thing to me is that Ohio State blew a 20-point lead as opposed to losing to Texas, right? I think that that's the issue there, and you question maybe some of Ryan Day's late-game strategy.

But I don't know, man.

The one thing I guess you would say is Rutgers has been so bad, and I think we're probably putting an end to and closing the book on the Greg Sciano thing.

chapter at at in Piscataway and then Michigan obviously most of us think that they're one and one sitting at two and oh a big win over Oklahoma but I haven't been overly impressed with them I think that their defense is very very good I think their offense is not very good at all so it's been it's been an interesting couple of weeks but obviously you know starting this week and then maybe not so much this week but into next week we get into conference play and I think that's when we're really going to start to find out some things about these teams
