Rocky XVI - Peaches Gets Creamed

If you’ve ever argued with friends about “how many sequels” a franchise really has, you already know the problem: counting is easy, defining is hard. We start with movie math and quickly realize the only way to make the question interesting is to set rules. No reboots, no recasts that reset the timeline, and no loosely connected “brand” entries. We’re chasing direct sequels with continuity, where one story actually leads into the next. That sends us through the sequel jungle: the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a sheer volume benchmark, Fast and Furious as the forever engine of family, Rocky as proof you can stretch a simple premise for years, and Land Before Time as the surprising heavyweight in pure sequel count. We also hit a fun piece of film trivia that genuinely surprised us, connecting a never made Total Recall sequel to the eventual creation of Minority Report. If you like franchise debates, narrative continuity, and pop culture rabbit holes, this one stays busy. Then the tone shifts in a way that feels very “us”: we talk about how the podcast has evolved from more structured fitness and nutrition into something that also makes room for jokes, stories, and community. The serious takeaway is real though: sustainable weight loss and a healthy lifestyle get harder when your identity becomes nothing but the goal. We get into why hobbies, creative outlets, and low pressure “friend slop” co-op games can keep you sane and consistent. Subscribe for more, share this with the friend who always wins the sequel argument, and leave a review with your pick for the longest true sequel series.
