The second thing is I had been like noticeably absent on the internet.
A lot of people had been commenting, asking me, people made videos, the funniest videos I have seen.
on TikTok of people being like, hey, where is I'm not a lawyer? But so first of all, thank you for those videos for caring about the fact that I hadn't made any videos.
It was not streamed, no video footage.
The transcripts are not ready.
which is not unheard of.
That is very typical where transcripts usually take a long time.
Now, obviously, should they file an appeal, which I imagine they will, then the transcripts kind of get sped up.
They have to have those.
So I imagine they'll be available at some point, but Not immediate.
So that's obviously there were people in the courtroom covering the trial.
And I hope if you had been following it, you kind of supported their content.
But I just really, really, really, especially something this high profile with so much misinformation out there, I would have preferred to be able to have some like actual source material.
Um, which I just did not have.
But in addition to that, it was my birthday weekend.
We did a little vacation staycation situation.
So I also was just not like keeping up with the trial because I took a little break.
So that is what happened if you had been wondering and are angry because I didn't copy follow it.
um so that's that obviously the verdict came out he did there was an option for the jury to choose the lesser included charge of manslaughter the jury in his case chose um murder so carmelo anthony was convicted of murder he it is a tech it was a texas trial and so as we've covered before in texas Defendants have the option to have a judge sentence them or have a jury sentence them.
And in this case, Carmelo chose the jury and the jury sentenced him.
The minimum option was five years.
The maximum was 99 and his jury chose to sentence him to 35 years, um, at about halfway, the halfway point.
So about 17, five, he will have the ability to, um, get probation if that is granted um or parole sorry so that is kind of what happened there I don't have a ton of like I said source material I don't I don't really want to provide a lot of commentary on the case it is very sensitive I think it is um very sensitive and i just my truth is i don't feel like dealing with y'all i don't feel like dealing with comments that are going to piss me off i'm not in the mood and so for that reason i'm not going to say much
