Living a Spirit-Directed Life | Archie Coates | HTB Livestream

In John chapter 5, we have a story of Jesus healing a man and Bethesda.

And Jesus goes into the pool of Bethesda and he says that there are many paralyzed, lame and blind people there.

But Jesus hones in on just one of them.

someone who's been an invalid for 38 years, and he speaks to him, and he heals him.

And then a few verses later in John 5, Jesus says, I only do what I see my Father doing.

And I've always taken that as being a commentary of Jesus talking about what has just happened at the pool of Bethesda.

That in this great sea of need, Jesus is able to zone in on what is needed in the moment.

This is the art of life.

To be able to see where God is working in any particular moment and to join in.

And I want to talk for a few minutes this evening about how to live a spirit-directed life.

We have, I believe, what we're seeing is a wonderful acceleration of a hunger for God's presence and living in his presence in many of our churches.

But I believe that what needs to happen for the acceleration of God's mission to happen is not simply a flow into our lives with the Spirit, but also learning to flow out with the Spirit as well.

A kind of operating, an ability to apply and steward the gift of the Spirit in our lives, through our lives, towards the transformation of our nation.

And so welcome to 2026, which is going to be something I believe of a boot camp, a four-day boot camp in the power of the Holy Spirit.
