The Man, The Mud & The Miracle | Pt 3 | Brad Bonhomme

This is the third time I've stood in John chapter nine.

Two weeks ago, I preached on the mud and I spoke about how God used, Jesus used the irritation, remember that? In the eye to actually move the man toward his miracle.

We spoke about discernment.

We spoke about learning to, come on, discern discomfort and how to learn to actually move with the mud.

There's four runners in this relay race and we need to have the fourth runner or else we ain't winning the medal.

So tonight's gonna be fantastic.

But there's a part of this story for the past week or two that I've been wrestling with.

It's caught my attention.

Part of the story that I want to focus on today is what happens after the miracle.

Because when you look at the story, only seven verses are dedicated to the man's miracle.

Most of the story is what actually happens, come on, after the miracle.

So if you have your Bibles, turn with me to John's Gospel.

We're gonna look at chapter nine and verse 18.

So let's turn in our Bibles or turn our phones on, whichever you prefer.

John chapter nine, verse 18.

Who's ready to grow in the Word of God today? Who loves their Bibles? The Jewish leaders still refused to believe the man had been blind and could now see.

So they called his parents.

Is this your son, they asked.

Is this the one you say was born blind? How is it that he now can see? We know he is our son, the parents answered, and we know he was born blind.
