I still think they should have sold a little bit at the trade deadline to help prepare for the 2027 and beyond.
However, here we are, and they kind of half-assed the trade deadline, in my opinion.
I guess to kind of kick it off with the trade deadline and expectations for this year, what are your thoughts now that we're in August and this year hasn't quite gone the way we want it to?
Oh, look, it hasn't.
And it's funny, I was on TikTok earlier as everyone who's sitting home because it's a rainy day outside today and, you know, us tradies can't work.
And one of my favourite movies, my daughter's a Disney fiend, and one of my favourite movies is Hercules.
So we...
We compromise.
It's not princessy, but it's still Disney.
And there's that scene in there where Phil takes Hercules into his house and he's talking about, you know, this was meant to be the hero.
This was meant to be the chosen one.
This was the guy that was going to put Phil's name up in the stars.
And it goes through all the promised teams.
That was nearly there.
So now we're looking for a new hero and who is going to take us there.
And this team was meant to be the Hercules.
We came into this year with expectations through the roof.
We're really one reliever last trade deadline away from actually making it.
and maybe Randy not dropping off so much at the end of the season.
