So if you were thinking of moving to Portugal and practicing medicine clinically here, the first place to start is definitely to learn the language.

And before we moved to Portugal, I was actually, you know, doing Duolingo and learning Portuguese there.

But it wasn't until I arrived in Portugal that I realized that the Portuguese I was learning was actually Brazilian Portuguese, which is pretty different in pronunciation-

So I would definitely start by learning the language, and I would start by learning European Portuguese.

So for those people who don't speak European Portuguese, is it a hard language to learn from English? Like how difficult is it?

I-- just to give you background, I mean, I learned Spanish in like middle school and high school-

And then I learned Portuguese, and so, um, I did have some background in terms of Latin-based grammar, so that definitely helped.
