So if we really think about pediatric training, so very recently, the ACGME, which really looks at all residency education in the country, they recently mandated that every pediatrician going through their three-year residency has to have at least four weeks of mental health training.

within that.

So that's new.

The fellows really do a great job getting to know each other, building those friendships that last throughout their careers.

So some of the shifting that occurred was changing what previously was the fellowship committee to the sports medicine training committee, and the goal of this was to incorporate medical students and residents into this training committee where there will still be some things that are specific to the fellows, right? So there's ACGME issues.

There's a lot of things that is specific to fellowship.

But from a community standpoint, we wanted to make sure that all of these trainees felt like they had a home where they could go to, they could interact with each other, they could get education specific to them.

Well, you know, over the last few years, Physician Wellness has has been a topic in graduate and even postgraduate medical education.

And it's part of the common program requirements that the ACGME outlines.

So these occupational hazards certainly fall into the category of physician wellness.

So there's opportunity there to add some formal didactics to resident fellow curricula.

And then knowing that some signs of a neck disorder may not actually be in the neck is important.

And then going beyond that, trying to regularly incorporate some movement practices that counteract these postures is a really good place to start.

Now, certainly communication is part of the ACGME competencies and trainees need to mention when they're having trouble at the appropriate time.

But ultimately, ultimately, you have to be responsible for yourself.

There used to be two accreditation bodies.

One was the American Osteopathic Association, and one was the ACGME.

Mm-hmm.

And they were competing, and there was a lot of acrimony or- Looking down upon DOs years ago-

There's a serious problem with that assertion, however.

You see, the ACGME, the group that establishes the minimum residency training requirements for all the medical specialties, including radiology, in the current year, in 2026, the ACGME does not require any MRI safety training for radiology residents.

None.

Now there are some residency programs that do teach MRI safety.
