You have all these hit songs, Somebody's Gonna Love You, Going Going Gone, Dixie Road, I Don't Mind the Thorns of You're the Rose, Don't Underestimate My Love for You, Morning Ride, Hearts Aren't Made to Break, They Are Made to Love.

Yeah, I love that one.

Okay, so

all of these huge hits, every award you can get in music and you're defined by one song

well that that may be true and the way in a way i mean is that fair well no yeah it is fair um somebody asked me do you have any regrets for writing god bless your essays you have to know i'm the author and the singer

yeah

that's different than most and i said well there's only one regret and i think it took him back and so what would that be and i said i didn't write hotel california So there's always something else.

But if I hadn't had God Bless USA, I wouldn't have met her.

That's the first thing that I really look at.

But God Bless USA is an umbrella, no doubt about it, but it's not a parachute.

It does not define me or my career.

As a matter of fact, we're doing a brand new gospel album now for Gaither Vocal Group.

And a friend of mine, Gordon Mote, who has been blind since birth, joined my band from Belmont University as soon as he graduated and was with me 10 years.

And now he's producing this next album on me.

Gordon, I just love him.

He's terrific.

Could you imagine, and I know you probably have never done it, if you did a whole set and you didn't sing God Bless the USA? Yeah,
