Hey there, and welcome to Ruining Seinfeld.

And I'm Adam.

This week we'll be discussing the 23rd episode from Season 6, The Face Painter.

Yeah, I don't know.

If you have the LeBaron, there's no reason to drive anything else.

But as I think Ted and I talked about, you know, it has a very deliberately washed out kind of color palette and it suffers from the fact that Once Burt Reynolds kind of disappears from the narrative after he's like strapped to a raft and basically ceases to be this physical center presence of the film, it kind of suffers.

And that's really the whole last third of the film is really Jon Voight's movie.

And I'm saying that only to say Deliverance is these things.

But if you look at it again, it kind of suffers a little bit in its final acts.

But there are artists for whom their politics are part of their musical ethos, and Bruce Springsteen is one of them.

And I'd also venture whenever people say I wish they would shut up about their politics, they would never say that to, say, Ted Nugent or various actors, John Voight, people who have very, very firm conservative opinions.

They wouldn't.

Oh, no, those are my politics.

So I like it when John Voight talks about that stuff.

Dean Cain is another one.

Dean Cain is an absolute trumper to the core.

I think we sort of end on that for today because there's so much more to talk about, including by the way, the American, um, federal production incentive is getting a lot of momentum this week.

Uh, John Voight saw Donald Trump and the shift and, uh, you know um nathaniel moran and the ways and means committee are starting to combine with reps jack and reps friedman and anyway there's a an announcement coming tomorrow that's going to really start moving this forward we got to keep our fingers crossed so we can get this federal production incentive through but just a shout out to the coalition in hollywood that's been helping push this all the individuals have been out there um Bad Counselors, which has showcased the beauty of an American-made movie, all that kind of stuff.

We're just super excited.

Do you feel

Have you guys ever seen a film called the champ? No.

With John Voight.

It was, it's quite an old movie.

It's like literally 1979.

I think it is.

And the champ, John Voight's character is a kind of retired boxer that's become a bit of a drunk and he's just having a hard time now.

He's got a kid and he's trying to get his kid back.

I have to make the story.

But this time I got to say probably not.

He would have to beat out, well, the winner that year was John Voight for Coming Home.

That's a very good performance.

So I'm going to say no.
