The Shabbos That Lets You Begin Again | Shabbat Shuvah

Today we're gonna see through the Halakhah, first of all, where this name really comes from, and then take it through the Halakhah into Pnimiyus, and hopefully get some real nice, beautiful, holy words from, from some of the Tzadikim.

So we have already the first source, the Magen Avram tells us in Siman Tav-Kaf, T- Tav-Kaf Tes.

"Ve-akhshav no'agin lidros b'Shabas HaGadol u'v'Shabas Shuva." You guys would be so much more happier if we held like this.

I would say two Drashas a year.

Really, it is not saying it here, but how to Halakhically apply the Halakhas for the days coming ahead.

So there's tons of Halakhas for Yom Kippur.

So Shabas Shuva was a day of kidu, just explaining to people what the Mahalakh is.

And of course, Pesach, Shabas HaGadol is basically reminding the Tzibor of how you're supposed to act, uh, Halakhically during, during, uh, the, the Yontif of Pesach.

"Ma'ariv lehadreish gam hilchos chag Sukkos beShabas Shuva" because, you know, usually we have the din of Shlosh, the, the minhag of Shlosim Yom kodem a chag.

You learn the Halakhas of a certain chag 30 days before.

Sukkos gets the hardest one.

Who's learning Hilchos Sukkah right now, right? The truth is, in some of the Yeshivas, you know what they would do Motza'ei Yom Kippur right after Neilah, after Maariv? It's so beautiful.

They go right to the Beis Midrash and they open up learning Masechta Sukkah.

It's how it used to be in many of the Yeshivas.

They used to open up Masechta Sukkah right after, right after, uh, uh, you know, the fast.

So the Magen Avram is telling us over here that the reason that we have an inyan of learning, of, of darshaning on these Shabatot is not because Shabas Hashu- Shabas Shuva Drasha, it's...

What it is, is basically telling us how to act.
