Memphis Grizzlies Schedule Predictions + Grizzlies Roster Crunch

The top five storylines surrounding your Memphis Grizzlies, who, Michael, still have some roster trimming to do, right? After a long series of off-season moves, why don't we start there with the Grizzlies' roster crunch ahead of training camp?

Well, one of the things that we've discovered since the last time we had the show was that the Grizzlies have now signed both of their first round draft picks.

Cam Boozer is signed, Kareem Lopez signed last week.

So those are two roster spots that are locked in.

They're still two to three positions above what they need.

You can have 21 players right now on your roster, But once you get through training camp, that has to be chopped down.

You know, you got 15 plus three, two ways.

So the Grizzlies still have some work to do.

What we do know is that they've reached the buyout, obviously, with Contavious Caldwell Pope.

They're discussing potential buyout options with a couple of other candidates as well, two on the roster right now.

And then there's a non-guaranteed contract right there with Todd Gibson, the Veterans Center, who, as Sane has said in previous shows, man, we hope that he can still have some kind of role with this team in some kind of capacity, whether it's a development coach, or whatever.

So we'll see what that means from that standpoint.

But the Grizzlies still have some work to do.

And now is the time of the season where it goes dark in the NBA.

Most of the business is done.

Now you get your training camp roster set up.

They will make two more roster moves before they bring in the start of training camp at the end of September.

And those two, whatever those two moves are, two to three moves, we'll see.

But there's still work to be done.
