So preparatory, which makes us plunge into spiritual life.

The next one, stage two, vicharana, is an active inquiry into the nature of reality preceded by study of the shastras association with the good and the wise, vairagya and meditation.

So a stage of spiritual practices focused centered around Vedanta.

So you attend Vedanta classes, think about it, reflect about it, lead a life designed for inwardness, inquiry, associate with other Vedanta students and Vedanta masters.

So this focus and the actual you're up and doing now.

A resolve was taken in the first stage, second stage you're up and doing.

So we are, you can congratulate yourself.

We have all are in the second and maybe more, we have moved beyond that.

But the second stage is, mostly where we are.

Third one, tanumanasa arises when the attachment to sense objects gets tenuous.

That means it's thinned out as a result of subheccha and vicharana.

Tanumanasa literally means fineness of the mind.

So the mind becomes less gross and more detached from worldliness.

Our big issues are no longer worldly issues.

That's a big, big thing.

So one may talk about Vedanta and Buddhism and then finally grumble that, but my son doesn't listen to me.

I am Brahman, I've understood.

So if your big issue is my son doesn't listen to me, my daughter doesn't listen to me, then we have to concentrate on the second stage to purify the mind, to focus the mind on enlightenment.

When that doesn't matter, son may still not listen to you, but he doesn't matter too much to you.

Your main interest is in enlightenment in God realization.

Number four is enlightenment.

So what I keep saying, God, realization, enlightenment, that comes in number four.
