Brahman

which o saint said the king then the saint said to him he who without stopping the out-breathing proceeds upwards from the sthula to the sukshma sartha and who modified by impressions and yet not modified drives away the darkness of error he is the self thus said the saint And Sakayanya said to the king of Brihadrata, he who in perfect rest, rising from his body, both from the sthula and sukshma, and reaching the highest light, comes forth in his own form, he is the self.

Thus said Sakayanya, this is the immortal, the fearless, this is Brahman.

now then this is the science of brahman and the science of all upanishads o king which was told us by the saint maitri i shall tell it to thee we hear in the sacred records that there were once the valakilias who had left off all evil who were vigorous and passionless They said to the Prajapati, Kratu, O saint, this body is without intelligence, like a cart.

To what supernatural being belongs this great power by which such a body has been made intelligent? Or who is the driver? What thou knowest, O saint, tell us that.

Thus is one's own duty declared, which is to be found in the Vedas.

No one belongs truly to an order, asrama, who transgresses his own law.

and if people say that a man does not belong to any of the orders and that he is an ascetic this is wrong though on the other hand no one who is not an ascetic brings his sacrificial works to perfection or obtains knowledge of the highest self for thus it is said by ascetic penance goodness is obtained from goodness understanding is reached from understanding the self is obtained and he who has obtained that does not return brahman is thus said one who knew the science of brahman and this penance is the door to brahman thus said one who by penance had cast off all sin the syllable om is the manifest greatness of brahman thus said one who well grounded in brahman always meditates on it Therefore, by knowledge, by penance, and by meditation is Brahman gained.

thus one goes beyond brahman hiranyagarbha and to a divinity higher than the gods nay he who knows this and worships brahman by these three by knowledge penance and meditation obtains bliss imperishable infinite and unchangeable then freed from those things the senses of the body etc by which he was filled and overcome a mere charioteer he obtains union with the self

While putting himself down, ready to speak the Aum, Siddhartha repeated, murmuring the verse, Aum is the bow, the arrow is soul, the Brahman is the arrow's target that one should incessantly hit.

I searched Atman.

I searched Brahman.

I was willing to dissect myself and peel off all its layers to find the core of all peels in its unknown interior, the Atman, life, the divine part, the ultimate part.

Today, the castes are social classes within which each person is bound by religion to live and marry.

At the bottom of the social scale are millions of outcasts to touch whom would contaminate a proud Brahman.

That such divergent elements should have been fused in an ardent nationalism would be inconceivable were it not for British imperialism.

Britain has made India a nation partly by giving political unity to the great peninsula which had been a welter of warring principalities, partly by giving English education to Indians of the upper class who thereby imbibed the European idea of nationalism, but most of all by giving India a universal sentiment which could serve as a bond of union.

That sentiment is antagonism toward British rule.

Perhaps no other could have brought Brahman and Pariah, Hindu and Muslim, Marathi and Bengali together, but they have been welded together in the heat of resentment against what they consider as the wrongs done to them by England.

The nationalist torrent which has raged in India of recent years is a flood swelled by innumerable rivulets of discontent, but its main current has been the desire for swaraj, self-government.

Indian youth, mostly of the higher castes and wealthier classes, having studied at English universities, returning to India found much to criticize in the British administration.

But his status as an avatar is widespread and is mentioned in several different texts.

But why would Vishnu descend as the Buddha, someone who denied the existence of Brahman? the Hindu concept of the supreme reality, the source of all knowing and being, someone who denied the divine origins of the Vedas.

Well, there is some controversy, and Hindus throughout history have offered different theories.

Some texts, like the Bhagavata Purana, argue that Vishnu descended as the Buddha to purposely spread false knowledge in order to destabilize the wicked.

Dheeman, the wise one, is the one whose Dheem has been sufficiently purified to function as the transparent medium for Atma recognition.

Therefore, Dheematham yogin, the wise yogins are those whose combined practice of yoga and discriminative wisdom have brought them to the threshold or actual Brahma Satsanghara, the recognition of Brahman itself.

Being born in such a family provides the Yoga Bhrashta with the direct access to the living examples of faculty which he is trying to

develop.

If possible, become the Yoga Aruda in this very life.

But should death take away that opportunity, we should not be repenting or not looking for a Shruchina Srimadankya, but we should be born with the conditions ripe

enough to get the realization of Brahman in the very birth.

The next verse is revival of past impressions, samskaras.

Sa-ham.

It means He, that is the Brahman.

Ham is I.

It simply means I am Brahman.

I am Brahman.

Unconsciously, this is what we are telling ourselves.

Every second, this is what we are telling unknowingly to ourselves.

Swami says that Soha Mantra goes on in each one of you 21,600 times a day.

But that's the same thing as answering awareness or answering consciousness or answering God or Brahman or the self.

Those are words.

And words are weather too.
