Bhakti

And you do see this when you're reading Gurbani.

Remember, this is a bhakti tradition.

Bhakti meaning that central to our way of connecting with the divine is love, falling in love with the divine, having a loving relationship with it, being so devoted and besotted by it.

All the Bani is written to invoke that feeling of love and adoration for the divine.

I wasn't finding that in the English translations that didn't rhyme.

So, austere life he has to live and he should meditate on.

Bhagawan, if he is following Gyanamarka, then oneness with Bhagawan, if it is Bhakti, then devotee of Bhagawan.

So this is what we studied.

Now it says, Naitadvastu tayapashyeda drishmanam vinasyati asatya cittogramedi hamutra cikir sitat.

So is it exactly the way the Sanyas is being described here or what exactly will be the difference between Babaji Vesh and Sanyas?

So for that you have to first know the difference between Gyan Marg and Bhakti Marg.

So this Sannyas which is being described here, what is the key factor here is renunciation.

Right? And in Bhakti what is the key factor is service.

And renunciation is natural outcome of that.

So, Vairagya is not part of Bhakti, but it is part of Sannyas.

So, Babajives means that you give up service to everybody and dedicate yourself fully to serve Krishna.

That is what Babajives is.

All bhakti, no shakti.

You're just chanting while Rome burns.

All Shakti, no Bhakti.

You're basically a bull through the china shop.

Secret sauce? Balance.

And care for the world like a river shaping the stone.

Gentle and steady.

Bhakti gives you roots, Shakti gives you wings.

Um- But my publisher was like, "No, you got a good story.

Um, but the more I wrote my own, uh, memoir, the more I realized it w- it, it was very deep for me.

It was almost therapeutic to write it, and I w- I'm, I'm sort of grateful that the publisher encouraged me in that regard.
