What is a brand from your point of view? Because I really want to understand the essence of it.

How do you call a brand a brand? And I think from there, we can talk about a little bit of what is the system that you create to make something more or bigger.

So I think the most important thing is that a brand is an identifier, right? So it is in place for us to communicate a purpose, our values and our belief structures through a vehicle that from the outside people understand, right? And I think we always go back to the deeper meaning of it.

It's actually really being able to identify and articulate what makes that unique.

And I heard that just now in the tour that we did in the Grand Egyptian Museum.

creation is differentiation right and that's just stuck with me and i absolutely love it because that's what you do that to that moment of creation understanding what this organization or product or whatever your branding in that sense is is the creation and you need to help it differentiate you know in the market that and so that's from the inside out but from the outside in brands are an incredible important vehicle for me to make decisions based on my values and what I've received from that brand in discussion, whether it's an organization, you know, what are their values? Do we align? And so you can have, you know, many different things.

You work with the security team, the catering team, the marketing team who really understand what a brand is, etc.

So you bring them all together, you group them up into teams and you give them planes.

Let's say you're doing a museum, you would give them the Met plane, the MoMA plane, the Louvre Abu Dhabi plane, the Louvre plane.

And then you say, well, what's the onboarding process like? What is the in-flight entertainment? Where would that fly to? What different classes and groups are there and stuff like that? So people get together and start discussing it and why we use an airline because everybody goes from A to B, right? How many airlines go from Cairo to London and back again? But in that journey, you understand the values of that business.

So there are different experiences, right? And this is where the brand comes in, that you understand a brand isn't a logo.

That defines a brand, right? And now one of the key interests of us is how do we now help brands to become these brands mechanisms that unite organisations, you know, so under a value based framework, decision making frameworks to say this is who we are collectively as an organisation.

And so this is for us really kind of like how we help people understand what a brand is, and how they internally play a role in this.
