On this episode of Get to the Points, Ryan and Dalton break down fantasy basketball rookie draft targets, including AJ Dybantsa, Cam Boozer, and Caleb Wilson. We also discuss Jalen Duren’s fifth-round…
All right, Dalton.
He did sign 200 million for five years.
He's happy.
What do you think now that we know where he's gonna be? What are your...
Where are you planning on drafting him? What kind of point player average do you think he's gonna be? What do you think? What is your hot take on Jalen Duren now that we know he is solidified, he is playing for Detroit, he is playing this season? What is your forecast on him this year?
For me, the Duren saga is interesting because he went from being miserable in Detroit, first off, um, because at the beginning of the year, the reason that's odd is because him and Cade went camping.
Apparently he loved it.
It was a spiritual experience.
He'd never done anything like that.
Like, he was starting to feel the brotherhood.
And then just, you know, I guess he just became disillusioned with Pis- the Pistons or Detroit.
I don't know.
I haven't talked to the guy.
Would love to find out more.
But apparently, that's what caused the start of him being a restricted free agent, right? So that was the first issue, is he was kind of disillusioned, didn't wanna be there, was a restricted free agent, limiting him to his options, right? Detroit always gets first match.
And then he claimed he wanted, I think, what was it, 250 million per year?
A lot.
A lot.
A lot more [laughs] than I can remember.
[laughs]
And he said he wouldn't take anything less.
That's why he was gonna exercise his one year, be there, and then there was a lot of rumors about him wanting to go to Sacramento because he was apparently friends with the GM or something.
I don't know.
