How do we incorporate faith into being a trumpet player? I get that question so many times from young students.

How do we do that? How does faith impact our lives as trumpet players? And let's face it, as semi-prominent trumpet players in what we do, how does faith impact our lives?

I'm going to ask it because I think if I ask it, then we can kind of wrap these two in.

They're kind of similar in that my personal experience with faith and trumpet is short.

Because I've only been a self-proclaimed Christian as of about October 2024, I'd say, something like that, somewhere around there.

So how do you best navigate the industry in your faith? Because I've spoken to Phil Cobb a little bit about this.

That makes sense because if you go to change something fundamental about your beliefs, then you're also from a position of humility saying, well, I believe I was wrong.

But people don't like being told that they're wrong or feeling like they are now wrong because someone that used to share your worldview doesn't feel that way anymore.

And without having to say anything about it, it sort of puts the onus on them.

Now, I'm interested in your two positions on how to participate in this industry with conviction and faith.

As I say, another part of my question is, I think both of you went into the industry with a faith.
