The Chosen

Thanks.

Well, and while we're at it, November the 29th at Carnegie Hall, Matt Marr and Jonathan Rumi, Jonathan Rumi, the TV Jesus from The Chosen, a 240 voice choir, full orchestra, one night only, an Advent night to remember Carnegie Hall.

You want to go get your tickets at CarnegieHall.org for that.

Sounds beautiful.

That's what so many people don't realize.

I mean, that's the that's the ever since I watched The Chosen and I saw what Jesus did and people don't get it.

The greatest Trojan horse of all time, Muslims in the West.

What's crazy, though, is it's not even a Trojan horse.

Well, the first one, first story, if you can call it a story, is causing a little bit of controversy on the interwebs.

The Chosen, you know that show, the wildly popular TV series about the life of Jesus depicting the Gospels.

It's not out yet.

Season six is the next season, but it's already stirring debate because they released a trailer uh promoting season six and there is a scene in the trailer where jesus is in the garden of gethsemane and he is looking up at some angels that are like about to intervene and he's telling him to stand down sort of i mean he doesn't say anything but he kind of nods like no no now what is controversial is the appearance of the angels they look distinctly native american There's some African, kind of indigenous African things going on.

One is just Jesus saying, I could call on angels, but I'm not going to.

The other seems to have some depiction of angels actually helping him.

But what surprised me is that The Chosen, I have not watched the whole series, I've caught bits and pieces of it here and there, but it's a series based on the Gospels that has really, in my view, kind of gone out of its way to downplay or eliminate the more fantastical elements of the Gospels.

They don't depict angels.

And nowadays, with the way sound is, a lot of times when I'm watching English speaking stuff, I turn on the subtitles anyway because I don't want to miss the dialogue.

If it's a heavy dialogue thing, if I'm watching like Game of Thrones or I'm watching The Chosen or I'm watching a movie that's got heavy dialogue and I don't want to miss anything and there's a lot of noise, I'll turn on the subtitles anyway just so I can follow along.

See, Vic does that too.

Yeah.

Yes.

It was absolutely fantastic.

Tim, what are you watching? I'm watching The Chosen right now, and I'm up to season six with The Last Supper.

It's one of the most incredible, powerful, realistic series I've ever seen.

Right now, there's a tangential, like, little adjustment that means nothing to me because...

Now, what did you think of this, Richard? A new teaser for the hit biblical drama, The Chosen, appears to have placed Jesus...

In a Lord of the Rings style universe.

I'm sure this will offend nobody.

And that's at 57th Street and Fifth Avenue.

Plo Koon for $50 million.

The Chosen trailer is when Jesus gets arrested.

So far, the show has never shown any spiritual being.

Yes, angels are always around, so it's cool the first time they show them is when he's getting arrested.

to silly.

Like in The Chosen, Jesus says, get used to different.

Okay, so just imagine what you're feeling or all the stress that you're dealing with, like a huge stone in front of you.

And just imagine it.
