Padres biggest offseason priorities starts with Michael King

We'll see what happens, but Marty, we are less than a week from the end of the Padres' season.

Their post-season run obviously ended at Petco Park against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Since then, we've seen a couple of games in the NLCS.

We've seen a game in the ALCS.

Are you enjoying the post-season at all?

Yes.

I'm sorry.

It's been a while, and my mute button had, um, had frozen up.

I am enjoying it, actually.

I, I think it's very enjoyable to watch the Brewers [laughs] and the Dodgers.

Um, yeah, that's been a very, very fun series.

It's been a lopsided series, and now the Dodgers find themselves in a hole.

I'm sure Padres fans, I mean, they, they li- they are, they're enjoying this, but I think that one thing that stands out to me, Darren, is maybe the Brewers are the best team in baseball right now.

I mean, that, that team kinda has it factor.

I know they had the fewest, only one team had m- fewer home runs than the Brewers, but the Brewers are a fun team to watch.

And the number one thing that jumps out at me, Darren, when I watch this post-season is the Padres were not gonna have enough pitching to get out of NLCS if they had even gotten in.

That's, that's kinda what stuck out to me when I watch this series.

How about you?

Hmm.

Okay.

So what you're saying then essentially is-

[laughs]

... it's okay that they lost when they did-

No [laughs]

... because everybody cares they weren't gonna go much further than that.
