Folks, our verse of the week is Deuteronomy 8:18.

We spoke about it yesterday.

"And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers as it is this, as it is this day." Sam, I'm quite comforted in this concept of God being the covenant-keeping God.

Uh, the beauty of the covenant that God makes with us is that God is actually the one who upholds both ends of the covenant when we cannot.

God understands that-

I was just gonna say that

... is that we-

He is faithful even when we are not

...

He's faithful.

That's exactly right.

[laughs]

And he understood that entering into it.

Uh, he has asked us that we would be faithful to him, knowing that there will be times where we will be unfaithful.

And so praise God we have a savior, Jesus Christ, in whom the covenant was ultimately fulfilled, who was faithful on our behalf, and it is through him that we can truly be faithful, uh, to keep our end of the covenant, to honor God.

And he promises that, listen, he'll, he gives us the power to do what we need to do, one of those things being to get wealth.

Elsewhere in scripture, we're told how to do this, that it's little by little.

In fact, we'll talk about that on Bible study this Friday, Proverbs 13:11, that a man grows his wealth, a righteous man grows it little by little.

So wonderful to-

And the amazing thing about the imputed righteousness of Christ is that God now looks at you as if you've always been faithful.

Pretty amazing.

Pretty awesome.

I know.

We, we can never become cavalier to that, folks.

Sam, I love that you brought that up.
