This is a big one, okay? This is a big one.
This is one where, you know, we talked about in our previous episode, it seemed like HBO and Warner Brothers wanted to distance themselves from James Gunn because of, you know, the Supergirl flop that happened.
Superman, though it made some money, wasn't, you know, wasn't enough to actually say it was a...
You know a home run success.
It was at at least a two base stealer for sure and You know, let's just say creature commandos in there too because you know who remembers creature commandos we do for some reason But yeah, Josh Lanterns is the newest installment to this whole DCU and like I said after the monumental flop That was Supergirl Land Dunes has been kind of under the microscope.
Everybody has been kind of anticipating this.
A leak had happened months or at least a month ago before the premiere of this episode.
And, you know, it basically gave us a pretty big spoiler that turned out to be true.
And, you know, we kind of figured as well because it was getting DMCA striked all over the fucking place.
So it wound up being true, the spoiler.
We'll talk about that as well when it comes down to this episode.
And yeah, Josh, so what was your excitement, man? Obviously, you've seen the Twitter stuff.
But Lanterns had, you know... had the potential for something different, right? Or it does have the potential.
It is at its first episode.
What was your thoughts walking into this one? And obviously, you know, HBO trying to distance themselves from James Gunn as well.
Like, are we trying to...
No, this one could be different.
Maybe
I think if this is going to be the whole like, oh yeah, it can totally work without him type shit.
