Now, as I mentioned at the start of the episode, I am sharing a few grant funding opportunities for individuals and business owners in Jamaica.

In this episode, I'll be featuring three grants from the private sector and one from the public sector or from the government.

Before I start, I am sharing information that I have personally verified are still on the organization's websites.

In order to apply, you can submit an online application through digicelfoundation.org. And grants can go up to $2 million Jamaican dollars per project.

For environmental specific campaigns, they've distributed over $35 million Jamaican dollars across multiple grantees.

Again, focus areas are youth development, digital literacy, environmental sustainability, agricultural development, social enterprises, special needs inclusion, and silver economy, which is, of course, for seniors.

One example of one of their recipients is the Negril Recycling Center in Westmoreland.

And according to Digicel Foundation, they've positively impacted 20,350 lives, 2,798 jobs have been created across funded projects in youth development, skills training, agriculture, and social enterprise.

The second grant we're going to feature is the NCB Scholarship and Grant Program.

And so this is described as Jamaica's largest bank backed education grant program.

And they have invested in over one billion Jamaican dollars in education since 2008.

They are focused on supporting Jamaican students who are pursuing digital and technology fields at the secondary and tertiary levels.

According to the information I have, you would submit an application through ncbscholarships.com.

The grant amount is approximately 43 million Jamaican dollars that's distributed annually across scholarship and grant recipients.

Again, their focus areas are digital education, STEM, computer science, data science, animation, and related fields.
