But I just think he has massive unrealized upside that Mike McDaniel's scheme could... really unlock Herbert's career year.

McDaniel has mentioned that he gets to expand his playbook entirely with the quarterback that can actually throw downfield now.

So if he could finally stay healthy all year, that could help his rushing upside.

Plus, their offensive line was a disaster last year once Slater and Alt were both out for the year.

So just having them back, having them healthy for the full season, he could absolutely have top three upside.

Granted it is against the Cardinals, but still, you know, he's starting the year off as my QB one.

So he's a guy that it would be shocking in the least if he ends up, you know, finishing as a top three guy this year.
naturally and yeah i look at justin herbert uh it's really the rushing being unlocked he had five rushing touchdowns in 15 games as a rookie he hasn't had more than three since i mean we saw trevor lawrence just bust out with nine last year uh with a new coordinator so when you are mobile when you have that athleticism uh it's definitely something you can unlock so i love justin herbert i've talked about him at nauseam on this pod um it's really the weapons What we can get out of Ladd, QJ, Trey Harris, Oranda Gadsden.
I know people are lower on him now because of the reports out of camp, but I think he's still an explosive weapon.
Having this variety of weapons is such a good thing for a quarterback, obviously.
Losing Bjotish sucks, but they drafted a center in round two in Jake Slaughter.
