April GraneyGuestNicolet BellHostYou know, as you were talking there, I was thinking about a conversation I had with my husband just two days ago where our little girl was kind of pushing us a little bit on some things and he had had to discipline her in, hold her accountable for something we had said, you know, if you do this, this will be the consequences.
And he sat down next to me at the dinner table and he goes, I mean, how would Jesus parent? Like I, I just don't know.
How would he do it? If he was a parent, how would he do it? It's the same concept, right? Of this interjecting Jesus into wherever we are, wherever we are going, whatever we are doing, Jesus is right there with us, doing it with us because that's the way he designed us to be with his spirit living in us.
But so often we don't recognize him with us or allow, um, that awareness of His presence to move us to compassion or to different types of action.
What do you think are some of the main challenges that are facing our kids in their schools today?

Yeah, I think going to school, especially for the first time for these younger kids, it's a completely new environment.

Whether it's a public school or a private school, you know, they're meeting all kinds of new people.

They're learning, you know, the structure of the day and the rules of the classroom and how to behave and how to interact with their age group differently.

And maybe they even run across a bully, you know, bullying and in schools is a big issue that whether that's even in school or online, right.

And so I think it's really important that we, our children are able to be salt and light and, you know, in those classrooms and able to stand against the things that are wrong.

We can talk to our kids about being light and, You know, often maybe kids are they're hiding things or they're whispering about things or, you know, they're in cliques or whatever.

But we want to bring light to situations and we want to bring goodness and truth and beauty.
